For the last 3 years, I have always attended at the Project Vanity Anniversary celebrations. There’s just something really special about women supporting and empowering other women. The Project Vanity Community is definitely one of the most positive, helpful beauty communities around. Even on their Facebook Community group page, everyone is always so helpful – from sharing their special finds, and also giving advice to fellow beauty enthusiasts.
This year, the Anniversary event was held at Palm Grove Rockwell Club. I got sick the day before the event, but I didn’t want to pass this up! Imagine, a day of beauty, inspiring talks and talking to fellow beauty lovers? I wasn’t gonna pass that up… even though the dress code called for Pink outfits (LOL if you know me, I am Team #AntiPink hahaha)! I arrived a little late, but I was able to catch Angela Dinglasan, President of Zenutrients, where she shared her “Zen Seven” and other lessons she learned as a female entrepreneur; as well as the open discussion with some of the amazing boss babes who help run Project Vanity (Denise, Kim and Samantha, along with head honcho Liz).
Unfortunately, I had to leave early because I was starting to feel a little woozy, and heat was coming out of my eyes – but not before I had a chance to check out some of the kiosks there. In Her Element was there, of course. I was sad to hear that they discontinued their cleansing oil because I loved that but they had other products that piqued my interest – such as the Triple Treat Eye Cream and the Rose Gel Serum Moisturizer. Will definitely pick those up when I run out of the Eye Creams and Moisturizers I am currently using.
The 11th Anniversary Kit was pretty epic too! Lots of products from Belle du Jour Power Planner, In Her Element Skincare, Happy Skin, Dr. Morita, Ellana Minerals, Sephora PH, Himawari, Solique by Girl Stuff Nail Polish, Pink Sugar Cosmetics, Colourette Cosmetics and Zenutirents! They also set up a booth for The Foundation Foundation, a volunteer group of beauty enthusiasts who help sex trafficking survivors, as well as Lab2Love by Ellana Minerals, which allows you to custom-make your Lip Drunk Blush.
It was an amazing day – I wish I wasn’t feeling unwell so I could have stayed the entire day… but oh well, I guess I need to make up for that next year, eh? Already excited too PV’s 12th Anniversary!!!
Congratulations Liz and all the amazing babes at Project Vanity! Cheers to many more amazing years for Project Vanity!!!
